Oxford Plains Speedway Show and Shine and Drags

Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine. Friday night street drags 1/8th mile, run what you brung. Also a show shine and drags it is a big event with 500 or so classics, some just show and shine around the oval track and others drag race their classics all day into the night until there is a winner. It draws many thousands of people.

How about you Northeast guys? Want to meet there for their show and talk about setting up a Y-Block Nationals East? If you havn't made Columbus, Ohio for Labor Day you don't know what your missing! Chuck in NH

Just got an EMAIL from Oxford Plains. Their "Show Shine and Drags" will be June 24th this year. How about all you Y-Block guys in New England lets get something started. This is just a begining to see the interest we can possibly look for a more central location at a later date. Be there! Chuck in NH

Part of the Oxford Plains plan is to get all the Y-Blocks up this way togather in one spot. Then we can meet plan a perhaps select a more central location for an annual gathering. I figure if we invite all the Y-blockers we know of or run accross we should get quite a few. If we don't then maybe its not worth continuing. So its a sort of fact finding day I guess.  As long as they have a place for us to park we'll sort out the rest. Chuck

Chuck, Do you have the same Y chromazone disease as the rest of us or are you sleep site surfing??  1:30am??? you must have it worst than me, I at least wait until 5:00am when the automatic updates arrive.

There is a Thunderbird meet on the 24th of June in Canterbury, NH.  The club is called the "Vintage Thuderbird Club" and the event is called the "Thunderama 2007".

As for Oxford Plains, we need more Y's even if they do not race they can show and win some great prizes. If they see other Y blockers race maybe they will join in in future years.

But we can have a Y meet/races there any other or every Friday or Saturday that they have a race what you bring night and it won't be so crowded.

I'm a certified nite person. Usually go to bed about 2AM. Chuck
