Hey Tom , Now everyone can put to good use all of those Aussie licence plates we gave out last year at Columbus .Just stick them over you own tags ??? That will give the local DMV something to do .Best of luck to everyone . Lon

Don't know if things have changed, but stretches of I-80 turnpike were once notorious (patrolled by local gendarmes) for surrealistic visits to a nearby Justice-of-the-Peace. Fine usually depended on the depth of your pockets. Added to the cost of tolls, it made virtually any length of detour worthwhile.

since this will be my first time also, any more advice as to what to stay away from, go to, or go this way will be deeply appreciated. am coming from the east coast of virginia. thanks

Y Block 32 , We ( Aussies ) stay at the Super 8 on Hebron Rd .Be careful of the guys ( Canadians ) that drink beer in the car park .Some ( mostly Canadians ) have been known to tell tall stories ,cuss ,swear , and drink more beer , and tell more BS stories ,drink more beer ???.You will have more fun than you can imagine . The Shootout is a bonus . It's worth the trip just to have a beer in the car park . I sure will miss you guys ( & some Canadians ) this weekend .Good luck to everyone . Hope to see you all in 2010. Watch out for the cops in West Va, other than than it's all good.

lol, thanks lon, pegleg, hear you loud an clear. will take all advice seriously,. have some yblock stuff thinking about clearing out of garage, such as edelbrock 2x4 manifold, real nice, 040 ovr 312 pistons with new rings, complete crower 6x2 manifold with 2 functional middle carbs,front and rear carbs could be made functional with throttle bases, progressive linkage, eelco fuel log, red lines,(just removed from my 32cpe, b heads complete except rockers,if any interest, might bring with me. thanks again
