REAR LEAF SPRING QUESTION

hey guys i know its not a engine question but here it goes i have a 1957 ford f100 i flipped the rear end and got about 5 inches lower i wanna go about 3 more inches lower iv heard talk about taking out some leafs from the bundle but i wasent to sure about it what do you guys think would i be safe driving around with 2 leafs taken out of each side im not planning on carrying real heavy loads any help would be great thanks guys

57, not sure if you have tried these or not but this it what I did to lower the back end of my 56.  Used 2" drop shackles (you may have to shorten the bed bolt as I did), flipped the front hanger, intalled reverse eye mains and removed leaves.  I am currenlty running on 3 leaves and the main.  My ride hight to the top of the wheel well is 27 1/2".  Still a shade to high so this winter I will be moving the front hanger up another 1".  Bing

I did some checking before I lowered the stance and there was not enought people on the monoleaf side to sway my decision that way.  Some said they are fine but others mentioned to much wheel hoping so I decided to not use them.  It may have been more work my way but I have been happy with ride.  Bing
