Guys - how thick are the copper gaskets commonly made? I don't believe I've ever used one. Like say...16 gauge (sheet metal)? US std would then be .0598". The 12 gauge is .1046" - assuming copper comes that way. It would have to be pretty soft stuff too, in order to conform and seal.
I'm checking with our local guy that burns out shim stock with a laser (we send him a CAD print of the shape) to see if copper is something he has worked with before...
