have the one and only Y block book and now looking for a couple more on engine rebuilding to develop my skills; my Jegs catalog shows a couple that have good reviews on Amazon:

"Engine Blueprinting" by Rick Voegelin

and

"Engine Builder's Handbook" by Tom Monroe

any comments/experience with either of these? or recommendations on others?

appreciate it!

Mark

I have not seen either of those two books but I do have the Tom Monroe " How to rebuild your small-block Ford" and it is VERY VERY GOOD. By HPBooks and I think any book by Tom Monroe will be good also. Pete

“The Racing Engines Builder’s Handbook” by Tom Monroe is very comprehensive and just about covers anything that will come up in the course of a normal rebuild.  This book doesn’t cover the Y specifically but covers the generalities of any rebuild.  Although the title has “Racing” in it, you will find that it touches on all pertinent areas of a stock rebuild.  Good bang for the buck for this particular book.
