Hi guys. I am replacing my trans pan gasket. The new gasket is rubber as opposed to cork. Do i still need to apply a gasket maker glue on the pan side, or can I go without.
How about torque specs How many ft lbs?
Thanks

If the gasket fits the pan well, go without any sealer. If it is deformed use a very light coat of RTV to hold in place. Don't over tighten the bolts.

Hey Nate! Did you get your carb problems or ignition problems fixed up?

Hey Mark.
I am experiencing a misfire at idle. I regapped the plugs to .034 from 0.46 as an experiment. The misfire is still there but not as severe. However the car seems to have a bit more power on acceleration from a stop and the slight hesitation is now almost gone. Maybe the gaps were a bit too wide.
Thanks

Oil pan to case torque is 10-13 ft. lbs.
