I'm still with my freeze plug problem. A friend of mine owns a machine shop, and said he can made a new plug from a solid piece of aluminium. My other plugs (the remaining 3) are made of stainless steel, so they won't be changed.

My concern is that a piece of solid aluminium can damage the block, just because it's solid.

Can anyone give me a little feedback on this?

Here in Brasil is almalmost impossible to find the correct size of 1 1/4" for the car, so I would have to import some, or use a solid aluminium plug custom machined.

Help please!!!!!!

P.S I managed to find some plugs, but they measure 44.7mm in diameter, so I think they´re too big.

There are freeze plug sets on EBAY for under $10.00 US. If you want to buy a set or two I can ship them to you. Just pay the postage. Will probably go in a post office international flat rate envelope. Chuck in NH
