Can anyone tell me what mods are necessary to install a C4 trans into a 55 T Bird?.  I am new at this and I just want to know what may be lurking under my car.  I currently have the stock automatic in it and i am in process of making it new to todays standards.  Any help is as always greatly appreciated.  Thanks 55BirdmanSmile

I've seen this particular adapter in the early 'Birds.  Checking in the Y-Block Magazine will get you some other companies making adapters for the overdrive transmissions and allowing them to fit up to the Y.  Searching both this forum and the old forum will likely produce the names of these companies also.

will there be any mods tothe frame trans mount etc? dont want to cut it to pieces. i want to do as little as possible to altering car. i was told a c4 would require almost no body mods and i just want to know if that may be possible. i already have an adapter. i am just a bit reluctant to get started and find out i got to cut my car to pieces. birdman
