I got a kit to convert my 292 to a spin on oil filter. The kit is this on the pics.
I could't find the FoMoCo kit here in Brasil, so I bouht this one. Soon I discovered that the tread on the block side of the adapting kit was too smal, and I tried to remoove the original plate from the block, and screw the adapter to the bushing. Not good. Leaks all around.
Then I had a bushing made to the block tread, and with it be able to eliminate the original bushing, and screw the kit directly to the block.
I'm afraid the oil passage on the adapter bolt is too small (1/2 inch)
What do you guys think? Can I instal it without fear?
The oil Pump is a Clevite high volume.

I think the 1/2" hole is big enough.
