I want to buy a timing tape for my 292 because timing marks are almost gone.By my measurement the diameter is 6 3/8 for which a tape is available. Is this the correct diameter?

The run of the mill car Y-Block damper has a 6¼ “ damper ring.  Using the timing tape for a 6 3/8” damper ring will work out fine as that extra 1/8” of length will not make much difference.  At 10°, the longer tape will only off by 0.011” which is only 1/5 of a degree.

Thanks Ted! That would be accurate enough for me.
