I know someone can ID this thing for me.. i thought at first it was from the 54-55 truck or 55-57 T-bird but upon closer examination i noticed that the re-enforcing ribs are a bit farther apart..Also it has no part numbers on it at all(believe me i spent 2 and a half hours with a drill and a wire wheel cleaning it up).  it came off of a 292 that had been retro-fitted into a 54 Effie.. Thanks for any input..

Can't tell for sure but it looks like a 223 6 cyl mount for a pickup.

Dustin, here is my understanding(?) of the mount types and their application, given John Mummert's reply to a similar question recently.  The mount with the narrower reinforcing ribs would be original to 54-55 Trucks and 55-57 T birds.  The mount with wider reinforcing ribs would have been introduced in 1956 Trucks, but should also be useable with 55-57 Tbirds even though not original and also useable in the earlier trucks, again not original.  How far past 1956 the truck mount was used, dont know.

So your mount is a 1956-195? truck mount.

Thanks Glen and thanks Mike.. yeah i hunted down and combed through your earlier thread about motor mounts to get an idea before i asked.. i had to keep clicking back and forth between the pic you posted and mine for a while before i realized that the ribs were farther apart.. it was a "Doh" moment indeed Tongue

Glen now that you mentioned it i wonder if the same mount was made to work for both the 6 and the Y?
