In AK that's how we always get rid of cars we're done with (and if I had an 86 mustang I couldn't be rid of it fast enough). We return them to the earth, reduce the parts-per-million. That's a half-joke.

I've seen what happens when a car hits a tree.  Is this what happens when a tree hits a car?

Interesting idea about a jack, but you'd have to wait a LOOONNNGG time for it to raise the car.  A tree grows from the top, not the bottom.  If you carved your and your girl's initials in a tree at eye level 30 years ago, they would still be eye level today.  So much for the biology lesson for today.
