I am thinking of rebuilding my 292.  I am planning on using high ratio rockers, G heads ported and polished, Sanderson headers, new pistons (cast or forged don't know which yet).  The question I have is should I get my crankshaft balanced?  Is there a considerable increase in cost in having this done? I am planning on using this for my 60 3/4 ton 4x4.  I will be using it for some light towing, hauling and general driving.  Appreciate the advice.

Absolutely! Any engine will benefit from a good balance job. It provides a great cost/benefit. I don't think the balancing will cost more than $200.00. Considering everything else you're planning, that's a small fraction of the total cost.

Thanks.  I thought it would be a good idea.  Cost doesn't seem as much as I thought.  Thanks again.
