Where can you purchase the correct rivets to install the data plate ? , I tapped one too hard while installing and screwed it up.

Only two was shipped with my new plate.

There's company on ebay that sells them along with a special punch to install them.  I bought a set from them along with the tool but I can't remember their name.

Check AMK Fasteners   http://www.amkproducts.com/  ... that's where I got mine... no tool needed really, just a wooden dowel worked for me... AMK has a whole bunch of vintage correct fasteners and clips and straps and etc...

hey guys.

I am going to be getting my truck transfered over to my name soon. (not registered just title transfer)

Anyway here is delaware they said that i had to have the data plate on the truck. This is a problem because the cab has been primered and the plate was taken off by the precious owner.

I talked to the guys in the inspection lane. They said i had to have the origional rivets. They said this was to prevent theft.

well long story short, i dont have the rivets.

What to do???

I would get the new rivets and then distress them to make them look old.
