A Little ID Help Please

Been dealing with pickups all my life, but I have no experience with automatics.  I have been getting requests for automatic bells for pickups and I have some, but I am not sure how interchangeable the years are.  Can someone tell me what I have here, and the years it will fit in the frames?

48-56 parts book gives for 56 F100 - F350 3-speed Ford-o-matic converter housing part number PBD-7975-A.

Thanks for the help with the bell.  I could tell from the ears on the bell that it would fit a 57-60 crossmember, but I am not familiar with the earlier pickups framework.  I would still be grateful for any further comments from anyone.
