I powerwashed the underside of my car since the trans and exhaust were out (a good opportunity to clean and spray with some undercoating, right?)  Well now my power steering cylinder is is leaking at the rod.  Is it possible I damaged the seal with the pressure washer, or is it more likely that it was bad to begin with an I just happened to remove about 1" patch of 20yr old grease and road grime that sealed it up?

Is there a fix, or is the best option to replace it? - John

(oh and if i can make anyone jealous, it's sunny and 75 - perfect day to be working on a "y")

I resealed mine twice then gave up and had it rebuilt. The shaft gets worn in a spot and wont reseal. Can't remember where mine was done somewhere in the midwest I think. Some one here will know a rebuilder. Chuck
