I'm cleaning up some 1.54:1 rockers to swap on to my 1959 truck. I went to put the rocker stands back on the shaft during reassembly and they slid right on. My question is: Is the overflow tube going into the top hole the only thing preventing the shaft from turning in the stands? Or should they be tight on the shaft? Thanks for any help.Normally the stands are a tight fit on shaft but should tighten up when the 2 bolts exert tension on the stands. Normally the stands are removed by squeezing on their sides in a vyce to reduce tension and fit on shaft, the same procedure is used to refit the stands, i guess how loose is loose? other folks will add to this.
