Valley cover re-visited

Awhile back , the need arose for a lowered valley cover for a dual 4bbl set-up,something hard to find....so I did this to help out a fellow Ford club member.....Pressed a "dish" ,cut out the old.tig in the new, straighten,straighten and finally add the baffle and pcv hole.....now if he can find the right tea pots....Anyone have info on converting single 4's to work well as duals. I've tried the search function here,but it seems to be a real struggle to find stuff.

Barry: Nice conversion job.. Do you have the correct pair numbers for the carbs? If not, I believe our moderator Ted has the #s. Post here for carbs in "Classifieds" Also could run a brief Ad in Y block magazine. Only .10 cents per word, as I recall. And the following person is really into "E" code setups. He might be of help. '56 dual carbs are stamped EDB-9510-C on the back side of the mounting flange.  '57 used ECJ-9510-AA and ECJ-9510-AB, one of each.  The noticeable difference between the single and dual carbs is a different boost venturi and provisions for interconnecting the vacuum sources for the secondaries so that the secondaries open at the same time.  Jets are different sizes, and I'm sure some internal orifices are different.

Hoosier has all the correct info as usual.

I would add that the use of the AA and AB carbs in the 57 setup is decreeded by the transmission type installed in the car.

It calls for one AA and one AB in the cars with an automatic trans and two AB carbs in the cars using a standard trans.

That was how the "E" codes came from the factory in 1957.

Thanks for the replies everyone. As for the "rubber press", yes ,I made a few form blocks and pressed out a dished rectangle that was trimmed to fit.
