The old oil pickup tube to pump, grommet seal, had light metal flanges at each end. The replacement is plain rubber. Is that o.k. ? Just checking. Thanks

Hi Paul! The one I got in the gasket set is the same-all rubber.Just be sure the tube is seated all the way in before you tighten the nut.Mine is fine.

I was just about to cancel the previous question.. The "cheaper" O ring grommet came from the pump box. However, the Fel Pro pan gasket set (which I had not opened properly ) has the seal with the metal flanges. Thanks for replying Mark. However, the gasket set has two larger items that I don't recognize for the pan & pump job. A rectangular 2" or so gasket c/w an offset 1" or so hole, with 5 holes around it & also a somewhat triangular "Blue" gasket with a 5/8" hole and 3 attachment holes. Don't think I need them right now, although they are listed for the pump & pan inlet job? The manual does not appear to show them, so what or where do they fit??

Paul:

Some pickups had triangular or rectangular flanges instead of the threaded fitting where the tube goes through the pan wall.  That's what those gaskets are for.
