Came across an old Holley that the guys says is off of a Y-block. The tag reads as follows: CBT  9AB  F. Is this the right number for a Y block?

Can you find a list number on the carb?  The numbers you posted don’t show up in my Holley reference material under Y-Block applications.  Other info would also help such as if a two or four barrel, model or style of carb, etc.

Its a 4V Ted, and he said it came off the later style Holley pattern Y block intake.

You can find a list of Holley List numbers on the Holley site, or in the catalog at your local speed shop. Are you sure CBT is not a  C8 number? C8 would indicate a Ford application from 1968.

The Holley "list" # is stamped on the choke housing or on the base. That # is what you  really need to  identify it or get correct parts like carb kits etc.

The site below lists this carby as being fitted to a 1960 Ford Truck with 292 engine.
