Anybody offer a tape with degree designations for the Y Blocks?

I"m going to Mummerts web site next to see if he offers such an item.

Not sure if any one does because the diameter would need to determine where the degrees would fall. However I have made several on paper, caedboard and plastic pail bottoms. Use a protractor or one of those small half cirle ones you get at an office store and mark the degrees you most want to use and then you can go from the center point to extend the degrees to any diameter you want by drawing a line with a straight edge, sort of like slicing a pie.

I used one sold by Mr.Gasket.I think the Y-block dia is 6 3/8 and the one Mr.Gasket sells is for 6 1/4 dia.SLIGHTLY off  being 100% accurate.Close enough for setting timing and 90 degree turns for setting valves etc.Unless John M. sells a correct one I never found one in my searches.Check a Mr.Gasket  sellers site for correct dia. of ones they sell.

The one for small block fords is almost the same size. Check the diameter of yours and then go to the Summit or Jegs catalog and match it up. Not perfect but may only be off w degree or two. This is what I used.

I highly recomend getting a tape.Makes timing and checking advance rate etc MUCH more accurate.

Last tape I used, "Mr Gasket" I cleaned the damper, glued the tape in place and then clear coated over it. Didn't last a month on the street. What do I need to do to fix that? Chuck in NH

Maybe you should have just used the peel and stick.Likely the glue you added is affected by heat.I cleaned my damper after painting it and peeled&stuck the tape.Been fine since April and no lifting anywhere.I didnt clear coat it either which may have affected yours.
