Heard this on the news last night and called Ralph to see if it was his place. In fact it was.

Ralph has quite a bit of FE, lightweight Galaxie, and yblock stuff stored in that old building. Uninsured also.

No word about the real loss yet since most is covered with ash and water from firehoses.

Ralph has always been a good source for me for yblock parts and a good friend, this is where I got my extra G heads a couple of 312's and my current 292 stroker parts. Stacks and stacks of parts that only he knew about. My hopes are that the loose iron, heads blocks cranks maybe salvageable. But, with 400 degree heat, who knows. Going to be tough just to get in there and uncover it all.

Ralph and his brother are still planning to be at Columbus with the old 56, so if you see them you might want to express your thoughts.

Alan:

We certainly didn't want to hear news like this.  So sorry to hear about it.  My best to the Alix brothers.

Al.  Thanks for the update.  I’ve also been the recipient of some of that stash so there’s going to be some good parts lost.  I’ll be calling them before leaving for Columbus so I’ll likely get an update then before seeing them in Columbus.

Sorry to hear, hope all is well and most can be salvaged.

Tough luck, I met them last year at Columbus, nice Gentlemen. I think this is something we all fear.

You gotta love the News report, They threw a cigarette into the building but "it was not intentional". How do you unintentionally throw a cigarette into a building??

Hope the lose isn't to great.
