The y-block hot rod is getting worked on again - it is gonna run soon, I promise!

Have a couple returning students who started the rebuild last year so I have them getting stuff finished up. they rebuilt the oil pump and are finishing the rebuild of the heads. Took the car to a show this summer and entered in the unfinished class...

Will do, kids are pulling the rocker shafts apart right now and getting everything cleaned up and ready to re-install. After that I think everything should be ready to go together and get it on the test stand. Will definately gets pics and video of it firing up BigGrin

pulled the plugs out of the ends of the rocker shaft, I am guessing these are plugs I can run to Napa and get???

I thought so, just didnt know if MAPA was some supplier I didnt know about Tongue

Any trick to installing the plugs? I am guessing just tap 'em in?? thanks-

You can put a little sealant on to make it easier to tap in.Otherwise they just tap in flush with end of shaft. When your students are cleaning the arms there is a "squirt" hole in the front and back of each arm.Sometimes they are so plugged you dont see both holes.Use a paperclip to clean both holes.
