Just wondering where these engine fit in the Y family? the Y block mag list the ford versions, 239, 272, 292, 312. then the lincoln versions were the 317, 341 & 368. but back in the late 50's in the trucks larger than 700 series they used a 302, 332 version. these are the ones the lincoln style Rams horns are normally acquired from but these motors are never mentioned.

They have a 3.66 stroke crank, does anything from these guy's fit the ford Y other than the usual distributor, oil pump , fuel pump etc. They are pretty common up in my area in old fire trucks etc. and they are listed as extra heavy duty motors, are they the forerunner of the C1TE? or are they simply in the lincoln 317, 341 and 368 family?

Just curious,

Bill

hi, yes, they are the same as the lincoln blocks. 57 to 63 used a late holly 4bbl intake, and they had forged cranks.

Thanks YaLincoln,

I thought that was the case but just wondering why those engines are never mentioned.
