Hi Guys,

I have just popped onto this site for some technical info, I need to know the ID of the rocker bush and the centre distance of the bush to the pushrod adjusting screw and also to the valve lash pad. And also the overall lenght of the rocker. The Rocker will be the 1.54 ratio. Hope all this makes sense. I need some rockers for a vintage cyl head and seeing if these will fit. I hope somebody can help.

Cheers Lindsay..

Lindsay: Not sure I fully understand your questions, but Y-Blk rocker arms were not factory bushed. They were metal to metal.

Thanks Paul.

I just need the dimensions of the rocker, I meant the shaft hole diameter, I wasnt aware there  is no bushes. Im only going off a picture i saw of them on ebay. I basically need the ratio dimensions to see if it will fit another head i am mucking around with. I can bush the hole if needed or bore it out. I can picture it all in my head but even im confused now.LOL.

I, too am not sure where you are headed, but all Y rockers are interchangeable throughout the years.  The difference between the 1.43 and 1.54 is the distance from the shaft centerline to the adjuster screw centerline.

Hi John,

Thats the measurement i need. Also from the shaft centreline to the valve centreline. If anyone has a rocker at hand that could be measured at these two points i would appreciate if you could help me out.

cheers, Lindsay..

The shaft diameter is 0.840” so add the desired oil clearance for the inside rocker hole dimension.  For a 1.54 rocker, the distance from the center of the shaft to the adjuster tip is ~1.000” while the distance from the center of the shaft to the valve stem pad is ~1.540”.

Ted,

Thanks heaps for that, just what I need. I'll check now to see if they will do the job.

Thanks again.
