Can I insert a picture that is on my computer , not on another site such as photoshop??  How do I do it - there isn't a "browse" option to get the picture like other sites

you must host the picture on some other server, I dont see any upload function on the fourm controls.

If your Internet service comes with web hosting, you can upload pictures there, with their tools or via FTP software. all services are different, you have too look at their help/faq sections to find out.

Thats a pretty neat looking trio of cars! This same technique of "importing" an IMG file is how we've been seeing illustrating photos in the various posts. Like HoLun's engine project for instance. If the image gets too big for the post column - there's going to be some viewing problems however. I think 650 pixels on the long side is about all the traffic will bear.

You can take a photo like the one you used for your signature - and send it to "Paint" - then remove the sky and driveway there (other programs will work too) - save it back as a JPEG in your photo album (as a new name). Then send it to the photo server - and use it as a "strip photo" of the three cars in a larger format. They'll be bigger and show more details!

Actually, the size that I am adding images to signatures is 125 pixels wide by no more than that tall.  The whole idea of the image in the signature is just to put the car with the person posting. One can always put a link to larger pictures elsewhere if they want to let others see them.
