Steve:The regular teapots can probably be made to work on a 2-4 setup. The 2-4 carbs have different boost venturi, different orifices in fuel and air passages, different jets, softer secondary springs, and a balance hose between the secondary vacuum passages of the carbs so they open at the same time.
In my opinion, your camshaft choice should be made based on your projected use of the car, not the fact that it has dual fours. I just returned from a parts run in my '56 Bird with factory dual fours, "G" heads, and the stock factory cam. It runs very well in town and on the highway.
