Labor Day Shootout

If I'm planning on going out to Columbus for the Labor Day Shootout, is it in my best interest to try and get a hotel now???  I assume there are a lot of people that travel out there for this.  Are there any recommended places to stay around there?

Yes, reserve a room NOW.  This is not only our Y event, but it is also a National Mustang Racers Assn event, so rooms go quickly.  A lot of Y Blockers stay at both the Super 8 in Buckeye Lake, also Super 8 in Heath.  Both are close to the track.  There are other motels in the area.  Motels in Columbus are about 30 miles away.

In the past, a racers discount at the Super Eight motels has been available if you mention that you're there for the Ford Expo event.  Should be the same this year but I couldn't verify as the Ford Expo website is currently down.
