Just dropped off "Mainiac Bill " to his motel after a meal at "Harry's Diner " .I picked him up on the way home from work this afternoon .Bill had to ride in a mates 32 Roadster ( at least it's powered by a SBF ) as there is not a lot of room in our "A" Model . Bill heads back to USA tomorrow morning.Bill is  the "First " Y-Blocker to visit Australia .Hope he's not the last .?

Hi Lon & Lynn,

As usual it was a great time!!! it was good to see you aagain and all your Mate's. I have been home for over a week now and this is the first chance I have been able to visit the site.

A guy called me yesterday looking for Y parts and said he was in the vitage car racing and drove a 57 ford and his buddy also is fixing one up. I have a 54 that I would like to do that with because it is too shot for anything else. He turned me on to their site, its www.wickedgoodracing.com Sounds like a lot of fun. I am going to go to one of their meetings this sunday and one of their racing events at Oxford on July 14th.

Thats 2 for the Mainiac down under, now if I could only get to Columbus and meet the people closest to me??

Its awful having too many projects to do anything but I have plenty of Y projects in the making, what could be more fun than that???

Thanks again for being a wonderful host.

Hey Bill ,Glad you arrived home safe .Maybe next time you will have a little more  spare time ?You could build that 54 dirt car pretty cheap . I bet you have enough spares to get you started .I just recieved the new issue of YBM .Some great stories on dirt trackers Also an article on your first trip "Down Under ".I can see it now ,brush painted body with " MAINIAC " written on the sides ????Please send photos .

Regards Lon.

Lon,

You say an article on my trip down under, How do you recieve the magazine before me when your on the other side of the world??

As far as the vintage racers go, they race on dirt some weeks and asphalt others so it would be a mix, Looks like it would be a blast. I am supposed to pick up the 54 today, I have had it stored at a buddys farm for a couple years, The roof was caved in a little when I got it which collected dirt and leaves so there are trees and bushes growing on top of the roof so it looks like a big 54 plant pot.

Our summer nights have been about as cool as your winter nights, so enjoy!!
