The Ford parts catalogue shows different part numbers for the arms for the ’57 car and the ’57 T-Bird. For the Thunderbird, the same arm is listed for both 1956 & 1957.

I need to install a new pitman arm on my Merc, too! I had my brakes done a while back and the guy told me it was wearing a bit. Brakes are adjusted and everything, but when I brake kinda hard, as a sudden stop, the front pulls to the right. I also would like to ask you guys about any conversion kits for updating the steering system! What is the best way to go? I would like to just get rid of the old power steering thing, ram and all. I want to keep the original column/steering wheel and use it with a new steering system.
