Does anyone know where I can buy just the side seals, the ones that use the pin? I don't need the rear main seal itself.

If you purchase the rope style main seal you will get the side wedges should be under ten bucks at the parts store

the one with the pin is the only one i like.if it doesnt come with it i just use silicone or whatever.

The rear main rope seal for the Ford 390 or any FE engine uses the same side seals as the Y. Those seal sets are reasonably inexpensive and the rope portion can just be discarded in your case.
