6 volt radio vibrators & buffer condensers?

I have a working Bendix and a Motorola 6 volt radio and I purchased a solid state vibrator to replace the one with points although it's still works, I just wanted to eliminate a potential problem. After I ordered the new vibrator and came across an article that said to replace the buffer condenser if you are putting in a solid state vibrator but it doesn't say where the condenser is or how to replace it.

Does anyone on this board have any information on these radios you would share?

The buffer condenser is soldered in the radio at the high voltage rectifier. You will need a schematic to locate it. Then you will need to find a company to sell you just one. I don't think its worth the effort. The buffers were required for the protection of the contacts in a mechanical vibrator much like the condenser in a distributor. Its not as important with solid state vibrators.
