Does anyone sell the PCV valve for a 64 292, if not can it be cleaned/fixed. Second, where is the proper place to fill engine oil in a Y-block? Lastly, the exhaust tube that comes off the PVC valve was replaced with a rubber hose instead of the steel line, is this ok? I have the original line, but its a clogged artery!

Isn't there a tube sticking up from the valley cover with a cap on it? That's were you put in the oil.



Check with Mac's, Carpenter, Concour Parts for the valve. Otherwise, you can clean it by soaking it in gas, carb cleaner or brake cleaner. The inside be loose. Rubber hose is ok as long as it's oil resistant.

Try your local parts store.Echlin#CRB29255.If they dont have it they can order it.This is threaded on one end and takes a rubber hose on the other end.

Some of the truck PCVs had a two piece body.  They unscrew and can be easily cleaned.  Cleaning of the clogged metal tube takes quite a bit of time.  A first long soak in ChemDip helps, followed by numerous apps of oven cleaner, and carb cleaner, brushing etc.
