I went out today and started my 56 after sitting since Nov.Started right up after filling the carb.Let it run and warm up.When I backed it out of the garage there is a small puddle of ATF which was there before I started it.Wasnt leaking when I put it away.Rebuilt the motor last year and installed a new front pump seal as precaution before re-installing the transmission.Hoping this is just a temporary leak as a result of the long cold winter.Only about 3/4 litre of fluid.Any ideas or input?

My 55 did that during the off season, no leat at all during normal driving and short term parking. Found out it was the shift linkage seal, the torque converter would drain back during the winter and fill the tranny, then it would leak out the seal. Parked it with the left side raised a bit and it didn't leak anymore. Lazy fix, but it isolated the leak. Gary

Thanks Gary.Glad I am not the only one this happened to.Hopefully now that its being driven the leak will disappear.I never ran it at all this winter so it makes sense that the convertor would drain over 5 months of sitting.
