So I have this fresh out of the media blaster oil pan.

What do you experts recommend as far as paint on the inside of the pan where the oil is contained?

I hope you get all of the grit out from under the baffle,i never blast the inside just the outside just to make sure there isnt media stuck in there, wouldnt want that to contaminate the oil. Carl

I just did my pan. I had the outside only blasted. and painted only the outside. Sort of a waste of time to do the inside besides the possible problem of paint flaking after being soaked in oil for an extended period of time.

I wouldn't even trust powdercoat for the inside.

As said before it's not a good idea to blast the inside but since it has been done just be very sure that the inside is clean, very clean.  No paint!  just something that can eventually peal and clog you screen.
