blower stuff

hey guys, i have a question. I want to put ona blower setup on my 1964 ford f100 with a 292. I want to use a setup that was used in the t-birds. I need everything, like brackets,pulleys. the whole nine yards. any help on a list of what i need would be greatly appreciated. thanx

This is a doable project which has an awesome look under the hood.   However it is a bit expensive to use the Bird parts because of their collectability.   Consider using the McCulloch universal parts that were available for full size Fords.   The mounting brackets are more readily available because the blower sits more on top instead of on the side required by the low hood clearance for the T-Bird.    J

Keep in mind that there were two blower setups in '57.  The passenger cars had the blower mounted on the drivers side while the Thunderbirds used a blower that's mounted on the passenger side.  Touch base with Frank Rice of Rebop for blower brackets and the such as He's reproducing some of these.

So all I need then is the blower bracket an idler pulley and arm? and the blower.

And a drive pulley for the crankshaft.  You'll likely want to go with a double belt set up; the factory supplied a single belt for the automatic equipped cars and a dual belt set up for the standard shift cars.  You'll also need a carb bonnet for what whichever carb you end up with and the carb itself needs to be setup and tuned for being pressurized.

Take a look at VS57.com.  A wealth of information about installation, tuning, etc.  Also has  swap meet and forum sections.
