Just saw an aftermarket 4bbl aluminum intake on Epay and it made me wonder if any of the aftermarket (and I have no idea what if anything was available) stuff performed better then the Ford B intake?

You talking about this Edelbrock?

I don't know. It looks like it's for '56 or older, the ports look small, so probably older. It's the first Edelbrock 4v I've seen since I've known about Y Blocks.

These Edelbock 4v have the smallest intake ports, take teapot carb, and more a wall hanger, unless youve got 239, the blue thunder made alum 4bbl holley intake, i believe they suited more top end, but then johm mummert,s new one incorporated more low through mid range perf and is best there is, others may have input?Smile

Neat if you have a 239 or 256.

Thanks for the info. I'm on the list for one of John's intake but I was curious as I don't  think I'd seen one before and never heard anyone that had the "wants" for one either.

   Thanks
