4 barrel carb intake manifold

Will a 67 4 barrel carb intake manifold that came off of a 312 yblock fit and work on a 56 272 engine?

The last US Y Block was 1964.

What is the casting # off the manifold?

I'll assume the '67' is a typo.  The ’57 intake and carb will bolt on fine on the ’56 engine.  A ’57 and up distributor also needs to be used though as the ’56 engine was originally equipped with a vacuum only distributor (Load-O-Matic) and only works properly with the ’56 carburetor setup.
