Squeaky A arm

Does anyone know what could be the problem with a squeaky a arm bushing? Bushings were all replaced at the same time and only one squeaks. This showed up after several hundred miles. I have tried different lubes and the front end has been aligned and no slop in the arm.  Thanks .

Are the bolts or nuts (you didn't say what year your car is) on thwe ends of the a arm shafts tight?  The inner sleeves of the bushings are serrated and are supposed to be tightly clamped so that they do not turn on the shaft, rather they force the rubber to flex as the a arm moves.

I believe the bolts should be tightened to specs with vehicle weight ON the suspension not with the arms hanging.Shop manual specifies this.

Thanks for the reply. It is a 1955 Ford Town Sedan. I checked the nut on the end of the shaft and it was tight. I do not know what the torque specs are for it. I did rock the car up and down and it feels as the shaft moves fractionaly when I do that. The front end man put in some shims and am now wondering if the bolt that holds them in place is tight. I will check that. I appreciate your comments.
