Picture posting instructions:
While you’re in the process of posting a thread or in the edit mode, there is an icon (fourth from the right on the upper row and has a graphic of mountains and the sun) that will allow you to browse your own computer and download pictures from your own drive to the site.
When putting your cursor over the icon, it will have a mini pop up that states “insert picture’ and after clicking this icon, you should be in a position to browse your own directory for the desired picture and upon selecting it, copy it to the site.
For the most part, if the pictures are too large, they will be automatically downsized to a maximum of ‘500’ wide but if you’ve got the capability, they can be downsized smaller than this on your end before posting them to the site which makes them easier to pull up for those readers that are using dial-up.
An important tip that will keep the screen at its normal size is to hit the return or enter key after each picture to align the pictures in an up and down format to keep them from stacking up left to right and forcing the viewer to scroll the screen left to right to view the pictures and/or text. Also, if putting in some text before inserting the picture, then use a hard return or <enter> after the text to put the picture under the text instead of the right of it.
If putting pictures into your signature, make every effort to keep them on the small side to minimize the amount of space being taken up in the signature. This will allow more threads per page and likewise help to keep the threads quicker to pull up for viewing.
This should take some of the mystery out of picture posting.
