Good morning! Been a while since I've asked questions, but gotten a lot of info by constant lurking.I'm finally starting on my '29 Coupester and want to get the motor mounts set up. I'm using the stock side mounts for starters, the option is to go with traditional biscuits. I've figured out that the m/m sit at a 45 degree angle. What I'm tring to find out, if anyone has done this, is the relationship of the horizontal crank centerline (using the dampner bolt) to the Model A frame. Should it approximate the banger centerline, go higher or lower. Second is the front to back spacing with the front x-member. Should the pulley be totally behind the x-member or sit forward in the trough right behind the spring? That position would raise the centerline a bit, but give more clearence at the firewall.
Forgot, this is a 292, .030 over, with the T-5, right now planned with a 3* downtilt.
Any thoughts or pictures are appreciated. Once I get further along, I'll be starting a build post here.
Thanks,
Richard
