Brake drums ??

I know there is a difference in the width of brake drums (ie ,Sedans,Wagons,& Thunderbirds pre 57  ( 2inch Vs 2.25 inch )) .Is there a difference in diamater between '54 & '56 ??? Was there 10 inch & 11 inch drums ???? A mate  has a 56  Customline chassis fitted with small brake drums . Maybe someone has fitted early Falcon drums at some stage of it's life ???

Lon, i believe up to 54 had 10" drums, xr falcon backing plates and drums can also interchange.

55 and 56 had 11 inch brakes(big safety upgrade in 55).52-54 Ford passenger cars were 10 inch brakes.Likely you have 54 brakes on that car.

I have a 54 Ranch Wagon, the drum brakes are 11 inches front and rear
