New to the group and Y blocks so bare with me, I'm putting together a 56 club sedan gasser and I'm using as much of the vintage speed epuippment as possible. I recently scored a set of Fenton ehxaust manifolds and dual quad intake. My question is the pass side manifold is exactly the same fit as the original except its diameter is much larger so thats ok, but the drivers side outlet starts the same curve down as it should then curves slightly again pointing at the firewall?? I've compared t-bird manifolds and their the same as my originals. The guy I got them from said they wouldn't fit his 50 merc and he was told they were "nascar parts" which I highly doubt..  I'll try to post some pics soon...   Any ideas?

Thanks, Phil

See how the LH manifold turns as opposed to curving downward like the RH

Maybe but on what? My originals clear it no problem as do t birds...possibly to clear manual trans linkage or Z-bar?   The way the drivers side one is I don't think its going to fit a pass car at all.

They look a lot like the early Headman Headers I have but yours are cast and mine are tube headers. The drivers side manifold on the T Bird is different than the passenger car. I had to modify my passenger car Hedman headers on the drivers side to fit my T Bird.

Maybe thats it, but I have looked at a fair amount of t-birds this summer and looked at plenty of websites and none look like this. If I can't use them so be it, but I don't want to sell them without knowing exactly what their for. Someone has to know...Smile
