Can't get the damper off

Hi Guys

I'm breaking down a '56 312 to send to the machine shop. Must have had factory a/c as it still had the brackets for the York compressor. Pretty neat set up, I'd never seen one before, stout too.

It also had a three stack pulley on the crank which I thought was neat until I found it didn't have the bolt in it. Can't find one to fit, tried to improvise a little with no success.

I usually use a gear puller and screw it down on the bolt and everything just slides right off.

 not this time though.

No, I didn't lose it, or I'd be out there looking for it.

All suggestions welcomed.

The multiple sheave's are probably add on. Should be two small bolts to hold it to the damper. If its one piece then only the large crank center bolt will be there. Sometimes these get lost (don't ask me how). Shine a light in the hole and see if there is a bolt in it or if the two bolts are covered with dirt. Chuck

Inside the pulley there should be two 3/8 NC bolt holes to mount the puller.
Here is a sample of the type of puller used to pull the harmonic balancer. The jaw type of pullers can break the balance ring.

Yeah, I found out the hard way about jaw type pullers. As stated, you got to have the right tools and know how to use them.

Oh well, I don't make mistakes, I just have educational experiences, some hurt and some cost money.
