Mounting studs for 56-57 T Bird alu. valve cover

Are the studs for mounting the 312 aluminum valve cover on the T-Birds longer then the steel 292 valve covers? If so where can I purchase the 312 studs?

Yes they are. I bought a stud kit years ago from concours parts. Looks like they still have some of those, but not the kit.

The studs are approx 1/4" longer and they are available at NPD for $2.50 ea.

Any Tbird parts supplier has the studs. They also have kits with the acorn nuts and washers.
