I have a 56 ford 2dr victoria. I have the grill, park lights and front bumper out to be replated and the front stone deflector is in need of new paint. I'm not sure if its suppose to be Argent Silver or a dark gray color. It looks gray to me. Can someone tell me the correct color? Thanks for any advice. Leon

Some of the 56s came with that panel painted Argent silver and some were painted body color.I don't know what determined the color.Different assembly plants, maybe?

All the original ones i,ve seen had argent panel, just my view. Smile

Like Bill, I’ve only seen Argent Silver on those '54-'56 cars that have never had a complete repaint.

57s are Argent Silver also. Many, including mine when I got it, have been repainted body color..

They are all Argent Silver right from our 1956 up to and including the 1961 Starliner.

Ford part # D7AZ 19000 A should still be available from Ford.
