were not oiling so I took the shaft off and some of the rockers have an

              allen screw in the oil hole...Do I remove the  allen screws or?????

               If someone could give me an answer in the next couple of hours

          rod "cup"/ball end of pushrod... Some have an open hole but several

           have the screw..                Bill

Are some of the rockers failing to oil where they pivot on the shaft?  That would indicate sludge in the shaft has closed off some of the holes.  You need to remove the expansion plugs at the ends of the shafts and rod them out and clean with solvent.  Also clean the holes in the bottom of the shaft at each rocker arm.  The plugs are not needed at the pushrod, that is overflow oil from the shaft, there is no benefit to plugging them.

           ago when I put a set of used 1.5 rockers on. Its been "rubbing"  off

            the adjuster tip and discoloring the pushrods on certain rockers. I

             took it apart today and "bingo" the rockers that weren't oiling had

             the oil feeds plugged with allen set screws. This set of rockers came

             from EBAY and could have been a mixed set. Did these rockers have

              another use where the oil holes weren't needed. It only affected

               the rockers and pushrods that had the allen set screw. ???????

The wear and discoloration shows that it needs the oil.  Take the screws out of the passages.  Check the adjuster screws and pushrod cups for scoring and roughness.  You may need to replace some of them.
