I have 315 miles on the new engine and a lot of time idling.  Getting the truck ready for Columbus is going to use up most of my free time tomorrow and Thursday.  I don' think I'll be able to get to 500 miles before re-torquing.  There's no reason I can't go ahead and do it, is there?  I don't believe these gaskets have to be re-torqued anyway.  They're the Best Gasket gaskets.

Charlie:

You can go ahead and retorque if you have the time.  The engine now has several heat/cool cycles.  I think that when you do retorque, you will find that at least the long bolts will have relaxed, even with the Best gaskets.
