55; Unfortunately your description is rather vague. Does it run? How much rust is evident etc. Unfortunately, 58 sedans are not popular. Trouble spots include rust in the headlite areas, which is often fixed by just using filler to affect a fix. Check for body mounts failure, inner panel rust etc. What engine does it have? In any case, unless it's a low mileage jewel, don't pay much for it..

That is a good answer, the car runs well, has a good interior, and no signs of rust are visible. It's two tone blue and white. I will see it in person over the weekend and if I can I will post a photo. The guy wanted 4950 he will sell it to me for 4000; like you said, I guess it not a popular body style. But it does seem pretty clean. I will repost with follow up info.

I guess it means that some cars come in all price ranges. Sometimes we get lucky with a find. Bottom line is go look at the car, be sure to check under the mats and under the car for rust out, check for major bondo action. If it drives well and looks good then it depends on what YOU think it is worth. For the car at this money it should have few problem if any. 58 was not a real popular year for Fords (in my mind at least) I bought my first Y-Block, 57 Ford convertible, off a car lot for $500. Of course that was in 1959 so the price was about right. My 56 Vicky was $1750, bought in Texas in 1987. Even had a free 57 Ranchero but thats another story. Chuck

I just meant that it depends on how bad the person wants to get rid of it and how bad you want it. I got mine because the guy was being hassled by the city to remove his 'old junk' out of his front yard so I offered to tow it for free.

Now I understand thanks for the input. Its not a car I was really looking for but it seems like a nice car. I will check it well, I just was wondering if it is a real nice car is it worth 4000 thanks again

While a 58 Ford is not a highly sought after collecter car, almost any 50s-60s car that is in pretty good, driveable shape is worth your $4000 figure.
