Just an observation from a fellow 58 owner. I found both rust free hoods at the Charlotte Auto fair at a fair price. I don't think it is any harder to find a good 58 hood than it would be to find a good 57 hood. Anyway, the one positive point was that the 58 hood, roof & possibly some other panels were made stronger. 57 hoods bend easily.
